Assembly Technician – Bergen, Norway
Our customert operates from three locations: Norway, the US, and Chile. They help salmon farmers better understand their fish populations and make environmentally sound decisions. Using custom underwater cameras, computer vision, and machine learning, we quantify fish weights, detect health status, and generate optimal feeding plans in real time.
The solution combines on-site hardware for image capture, cloud pipelines for data processing, and a user-facing web application—creating hundreds of moving parts and exciting challenges across the stack.
We are looking for an Assembly Technician to join the workshop in Bergen, where they produce underwater camera.
Responsibilities
- Assemble cameras from individual components to finished products
- Perform tests on assembled components
- Calibrate and configure components
- Record data and maintain accurate documentation
- Report anomalies and deviations
- Support daily workshop operations
Required Qualifications
- Experience in manual work, assembly, or production
- Strong mechanical and technical understanding
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused
- Ability to perform precise work
- Basic computer skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant education in a manual/mechanical field
- Experience with electricity or electronics
- Troubleshooting skills
- Advanced computing skills (e.g., Linux OS, Python, scripting, software configuration)
- Knowledge of Norwegian
Work Hour
- Monday - Friday 08.00 - 16.00
